The Chris Barber's Jazz Band/ The Chris Barber Jazz & Blues Band section of the website covers many aspects of the band between the split with Ken Colyer in 1954 and the expansion of the band to the Big Chris Barber Band in 2001 -- plus a few recent personnel changes. From 1953 to Today ... The Instrumentalists -- On this set of pages we feature photographs of every musician who has held a long-term position in the Chris Barber Band since the days of Ken Colyer's Jazzmen in 1953. Each photograph is accompanied by the dates that each was a member of the band, plus one or more musical excerpts that best illustrate his approach to the instrument.
Band members -- A composite photo of all band members from 1953 to the present.
Former members of the band -- Individual pages celebrating the contributions of each band member over a fifty-year period.
