Belated but very sincere greetings and good wishes on your recent birthday Chris.

My wife and I have been to your concerts in the UK and Rotterdam, Berlin and Magdeburg.

In conversation at the last concert in Berlin we talked and I recall that I mentioned the first time I saw you and Monty was at "the Palais de Dance in 1954........" quick as a flash you said "Stockton-on-Tees!" Always on the ball Chris. Keep young, keep blowing good.

Hello Chris,

Many, belated, greetings for your 81st. birthday.

I was 70 the day before your birthday.

The first time I saw you play was at Leicester's De Montfort Hall in about 1957/58. The last time was about two years ago in Fowey, Cornwall, at the Daphne Du Maurier Festival. Just as good and as exciting as ever!

Best wishes for the coming year.

Graham Johnson (Leicester).

Many Happy Returns Chris.

We enjoyed your excellent performance at Margate.

The photograph taken with you before you played is a pleasant reminder of the occasion as is your latest CD, which we purchased before the performance. The band was most accomplished. We hope you have managed to fix your trombone's mouthpiece now.

Keep playing and all the very best for the future.

Roy Bennett.

Happy 81st Mr B. Have just ordered the new CD so am looking forward to playing that. 1956 in Weymouth seems a very long time ago but that's when I first saw you - and when Mike Snelling jumped on the stage I believe! I seem to remember that then you were required to play God save the Queen after concerts. I'd like to hear a Big CB Band arrangement of that!
